"Leaving our appointment today, I was struck by how much things have improved for me in recent years regarding my skin cancer condition. I've been having treatment for about 25 years and various practitioners have burned, scraped and cut hundreds of areas of my body. I'd become used to leaving a check up stinging, as if I'd wandered into a swarm of angry bees and with the prospect of unpleasant surgery to come. Certainly, we had some areas needing attention today, but not the dozen or so as before.

There may be other reasons for this, but it seems more than coincidence, that this noticeable change in the number and severity of my skin cancers has come about since coming under the influence of your education, prevention and repair programme, about 8 years ago. Before then, I was clueless as to what was going on with my skin, what I could do about it and what products were available to help repair damage. I'm very grateful to you for going beyond the standard 'diagnose and treat' and engaging me in a team effort for overall improvement. I wonder how much better things would be if I had struck this approach 25 years ago? There is also satisfaction in feeling that I have some control of my tendancy to skin cancer, rather than being a victim.

I think you are giving your patients the best chance of a good outcome. I am a fan!".
